Signs of Spring

Galanthus or snowdrops
Galanthus or snowdrops.

Here’s a little stand of snowdrops.  They come up at the back of the yard every year around this time to remind me that Spring is close. These have hopped the fence from my neighbor’s garden and they are certainly welcome.  I’m not sure of the variety (there are nearly 350 different ones), but I do know that they are best dug up and transplanted when they are flowering. Which I just may do so that next year I have even more snowdrops to herald the Spring.
